Alex I worked on an 11 mile stretch of tollway in Austin in 06/07. The D.O.T. guys and Contractors on the project said it was a tollway because the state didnt have the money for the roadway. The road is owned by a Company in Spain....Owning the road allows the to charge tolls..This is ging on all over the Country.

And here in Texas Rick Perry would like to charge us for every mile you drive, no matter where you are.
